Bees and Bowls 

• Participated in National Geography Bee- Our winner qualified for the state finals.

• State Social Studies Fair- five students qualified for the State competition 

Beta Club 

• Attended state convention in Lafayette

• Participated in school and community service activities.

• Participated in District Day/State Competition

• Sponsor Coat and Blanket Drive

• Sponsor a Toiletry Drive for Chateau Living Center

Cheerleaders

• Competed in Spirit Blast Cheer and Dance Championship

• Competed in Mardi Gras Nationals

• Competed in Jam Fest

 
Chess

• Placed 4th in the Final Four fo the Louisiana Scholastic Chess League Tournament

• Participated in Holiday Rated Scholastic Tournament

Choir

• Won Sweepstakes at LMEA District VI Vocal Festival

• Members selected for LMEA District VI Honor Choir

• Performed in a Christmas Musical

• Sang the Naional Anthem at a N.O. Pelicans game

• Performed at the Roosevelt Hotel in December

Duke University Academic Talent Search 

• 14 seventh grade students qualified to participate and one student earned state recognition

• 31 fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students qualified to participate in Talent Search

Sports

• Sr. Boys Flag Football – East Jefferson Champions

• Jr. Boys basketball – 2^nd Place District, East Jefferson Runner-up, City 3^rd Place

• Boys Baseball – Metro Middle School Runner-Up

• Sr. Girls Volleyball – East Jefferson Runner-Up

• Girls Flag Football – East Jefferson Champions

• Sr. Girls Basketball – 3^rd Place District

• Girls Cabbage Ball – 4^th Place East Jefferson

Student Council

• Participates in Brown Foundation service learning grant in Grades 6 and 7.

• Supports community needs through collections of Thanksgiving Food baskets and candy grams for St. Anthony Fund.

• Promotes school spirit through Red Ribbon Week, Eagle Spirit Week, and Teacher Appreciation Week

• Provides service projects such as Christmas in the Oaks tree decoration, Mass honoring Veterans, and Open House

• Assists in school wide activities such as Principal’s Day and St. Nicholas’ Day

Scholarships

• Four seventh grade students received scholarships to Catholic high schools
